Have you driven by the three-story Silverada building recently and noticed the a fenced-off construction zone and a large orange chute that drops down to a waste removal truck? That’s the sign that exciting things are happening inside the building!
The building is currently being “gutted” or stripped down to the structural components. Walls, flooring, ceilings and fixtures are being removed in preparation of the upcoming complete remodel of all 30,000 square feet of this building. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s happening inside!
The One-Story Elementary Wing of the Silverada Complex is Complete! All we need now is the smoke to clear so that these beautiful new spaces can be full of happily working children!

The One-Story Elementary wing of our building complex is officially occupied and work on the Three-Story building has already begun! This week, Cement Core Sampling was done on the concrete walls and floors of our building. Tests will be run on these core samples which will reveal the structural integrity of the building and indicate what, if any, structural retrofits must take place during the renovation process.
We’re almost there! Classrooms are being set up and our beautifully renovated facility will be ready to go by the end of the week!

And now every classroom has built in sinks and storage cabinets!
We’re so excited about the addition of outdoor sinks and water bottle filling stations in both of our outdoor spaces at the Silverada building!
The outdoor environment at the east end of the Silverada building is really starting to take shape! We are so excited for our Elementary students to enjoy this beautiful new outdoor area! It’s hard to believe this area was formerly a parking lot!
Work has begun on Phase 1 of the new Fantastic Drive entrance to the school. (The new entry plaza will be completed in our next phase of construction with the 3 story renovation.) In our current phase of renovation, we will see lattice board, a mural and potted plants, all leading to the new front entry of the school which will be located at the breezeway between the former Boundary Peak classroom and the 3 story building.
A door has been added in the new Sierra Classroom (formerly Boundary Peak) and the classroom now has outdoor access.
Excavation continues in the new outdoor play area (formerly the front of the school).
