Teaching children to how to learn, to enjoy learning, and to be life-long learners are my ultimate goals for the children at our school. Creating a peaceful, positive school culture and building a relationship with each child sows the seeds that lead towards a child's success.
My life's work has focused on teaching and researching the Montessori philosophy of education. Since 2003, I have worked as a Montessori teaching assistant, Montessori teacher, and now, as the assistant principal at High Desert Montessori School. Currently, I am working on my Ph.D. in educational leadership at the University of Nevada, Reno. I also hold a master’s degree in education from Loyola University, Baltimore, and an Association Montessori Internationale diploma.
In my free time I enjoy playing with my young son, running, mountain biking, and camping. It is my pleasure to work at such a wonderful school!
